Education Minister declares result of direct recruitment of Head Teachers

Education Minister Punjab, Minister Vijay Inder Singla declared the online result of the direct recruitment of 375 Centre Head Teachers(CHTs) and 1558 Head Teachers(HTs) teachers, by the click of mouse at his office in Civil Secretariat, here today.
The recruitment to these posts was advertised by the Director General of School Education(DGSE) Punjab in the month of March 9 ,2019 while the exam for the same was conducted on 20th and 21st of July 2019.
The Education Minister informed that 4543 applications were received for the direct recruitment to the post of Centre Head Teachers while 7314 applications were received for that of Head Teachers. He said that it is first time ever in the history of the State that Education Department had extended an opportunity for the direct recruitment in its primary wing to the teachers already working in different categories with the department. He added that it is a golden opportunity for the teachers recruited directly as CHTs and HTs in the early years of their life as they will get early promotional opportunities in times to come.
He disclosed that interestingly, the examination pattern for the entrance exam for CHTs and HTs was so prepared that the teachers had to prepare for the exam with the syllabi/information which would be very helpful to them in teaching, after their selection. The questions in the entrance exam were based on general knowledge, science, literature, Punjab Culture, environment, management and Computer Education.
He also informed that the entire process of direct recruitment to the posts of CHT and HT teachers was computerized, decimating the scope of human interference or pressure tactics and the process was absolutely fair and transparent.
