Khalsa College Commerce and Management department organised an induction programme

School of Commerce and Management, Khalsa College Patiala organised an induction programme 2019-20 for the first year students of B.Com. The main objective of this programme was to inform the students about the college and to motivate them to participate in various activities.

Addressing the students, Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha welcomed the first year students and encouraged them to work hard from the very first semester. Dr. Ubha talked about the holistic development of students and emphasized the need to create synergy and value system at family and college level. In order to become good and moral citizens and lead a happy and satisfied life, it is important for students to follow a moral and ethical path in their lives. He also highlighted the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji by encouraging them to participate in various activities to be organised under Kirat and Divinity Club. He referred to the college as extended family and motivated the students to follow ethical ways in life.

Khalsa College Commerce and Management department organised an induction programme

The induction programme was started with an introductory session in which the basic and important information regarding the college was imparted to the students. Quiz competition regarding college campus and department was also organised for the students. Guru Nanak Dev jis poems, singing were also discussed with students. A game of ‘vowel free words’ was played and individual singing, shayari performance were also held during the programme. The induction programme gave a platform to students to interact with their peers and their faculty.

At the end of the programme, Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Head of School of Commerce and Management addressed the students and asked them to focus on all round development of their personalities. She discussed the importance of practical knowledge and encouraged students to take part in extra co-curricular activities.
