Rajindra Hospital Doctors start Mera Pind programme

Doctors of Rajindra Hospital from various clinical specialties under the banner of Punjab State Medical and Dental Teachers Association today started a new non-government and voluntary health care programme Mera Pind (My Village) by adopting Seona Village in Patiala.

Led by President Dr. Paras Pandove and General Secretary Dr. DS Bhullar, a team of doctors today visited Seona Village and highlighted the objective and highlights of the project, a first of its kind in the region whereby the doctors will try to impart better services to the needy patients of the village with efforts to strengthen the day by day deteriorating relationships between medical professionals and their patients.

The Association leaders urged the village people to come forward to avail better health services and medical care and at the same give feedback so that the programme is expanded to more villages in the district.The specialists present in the programme included medical experts Dr. RPS Sibia and Dr Sanjay Goyal, Surgeon Dr. Darshanjit Singh Walia, Gynecologist Dr. Preet Kamal Sibia, Eye Specialist Dr. Harvinder Nagpal and Psychiatrics Dr. Rohit Garg along with Village Coordinator of the programme Darshan Singh and village panchayat members.
