They took a round trip from Suratgarh, travelling across typical desert terrain of Rajasthan like Anupgarh, Pugal, Bajju, Bikaner, Lunkaransar. They also visited places of cultural and religious heritage in and near Bikaner. During the trip, students covered more than 800 Kms keeping an average of 80- 130 Kms per day. Last year, YPS students successfully completed two (500Km,230 Km) cycling expeditions in the hilly region. This time they have explored the rough desert region by covering 650 Kms. The sports have been an integral part of the school curriculum. Expeditions play an important role in preparing students for the rigours of life and sports. Through these cycling expeditions, we intend to contribute our share in preserving the environment. The idea is to commemorate the adventure spirit of YPS and experiencing the diverse cultures of India.
