14th Khalsayi Khed Utsav-Third Day Highlights

Jathedar Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, President, Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee honoured the winners of 14th Khalsayi Khed Utsav organised at Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, during the Third and the last day of the event .Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib won overall champions trophy in boys category while Guru Nanak College Budladha grabbed the champions trophy in girls category.

Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar motivated the students with his pearls of wisdom and said, “Guru Nanak Dev Ji has shown the path of Justice, Respect and truth. Students should follow the principles of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.”He also motivated the teachers to enlighten the path of students with religious thoughts and sprituality.

Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu, Director, Directorate of Education, SGPC  congratulated all the players for maintaining the spirit of Khalsai Khed Utsav.

In girls category, Guru Hargobind Sahib Khalsa Girls College, Karhali Sahib pull the rope strongly and won the tug of war though Bhai Bhelo Khalsa Girls College Mansa remained at second place. G.S.S.D.G.S. Khalsa College, Patiala won in game of Handball and Guru Nanak College, Sri Muktsar Sahib remained runner up team.In Kho Kho Gurunank Khalsa College, Budhlada shined again and Mata Sahib Kaur Girls College, Talwandi Sabo became runner in this game. In category of boys, by showing strength and power Mata Gujri College Fatehgarh Sahib occupied winner’s place and Baba Ajay Singh Khalsa College, Gurdas, Nangal became second.All the players of hockey and weight put same efforts in the games as outcome of Mata Gujri College as winner and Guru Nanak College Budladha as runner up team.

In Boys category, Khalsa College, Patiala won the game of Basketball and Mata Gujri College Fatehgarh Sahib and Guru Nanak College, Budhlada come on second and third position. In weightlifting Competition, Mata Gujri College took first position and Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib grabed second position.

On this ocassion, students from SGPC colleges and Schools were also honoured for their outstanding performaces and participation spirit in the games.
