All India Inter-University Artistic Gymnastics (Men) Championship begins at GNDU

All India Inter-University Artistic Gymnastics (Men) Championship was inaugurated at GNDU today in the Indoor Multipurpose Hall, University Campus. As many as 100 teams comprising about 500 gymnasts of different universities are participating in this championship. This championship includes various event like floor exercise, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars and Horizontal Bars.
Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Director Sports said that Artisitic gymnastics is an Olympic sport that involves physical strength, power, agility, flexibility, grace, control, coordination, and balance.
He said that Artistic Gymnastics (Women) and Rhythmic Gymnastics (Women) Championships will be held from March 29 to 31.
Dr. Sukhdev Singh and Dr. Kanwar Mandeep Singh, Assistant Director Sports gave warm wishes to all the players for best performance.
