Awareness campaign against Covid-19 at Multani Mal Modi College

NSS department of Multani Mal Modi College Patiala today launched an awareness campaign for the students and public against outbreak and spread of corona-19 virus. The objective of this campaign is to equip the students and general public with technical guidelines and protective measures to prevent the spread of virus. College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar inaugurated the campaign and said that the WHO, UN Foundation and global outbreak Network had issued infection prevention and control strategies to counter this pandemic.
Awareness campaign against Covid-19 at Multani Mal Modi College. Dr. Harmohan Sharma, NSS Programme Officer briefed about the emergency measures and preventive advisory in details. The volunteers of NSS and other students were demonstrated when and how to use masks, various myths regarding the disease, fake news and how to be safe and healthy while regular in working and public spaces and where to contact in emergency conditions. Students and staff were advised not to shake hands instead they must greet each other by doing Namaskaar with folded hands.

Multani Mal Modi College is synonymous with academic excellence adorning the cultural city of Patiala. Multani Mal Modi College is a multi-faculty, co-educational institution established by Padma Bhushan, Rai Bahadur Seth Gujjar Mal Modi, in the fond memory of his illustrious father, Rai Bahadur Seth Multani Mal Modi. The foundation stone of the college was laid by Dr Dharam Vir, ICS, the then Governor of Punjab, on Sept 21, 1966 and the first academic session commenced in July 1967.
