by by IKG PTU, Kapurthala, Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering & Technology (GZSCCET), Bathinda, it remained a top choice for admission among students. A total of 30 seats out of available 40 seats have been filled in GZSCCET, Bathinda. A total of 7 out of top 10 merit position holders have preferred to take admission in the Department of Architecture at GZSCCET. MRSPTU, Bathinda has already been declared best Architecture college of Punjab in 2014.

Students of the Department have been winning awards and accolades at national and international level. Recently, two students of fourth year won second and third prize at national level design competition, “YUVA RATNA- 2016”organised by Aditya Birla Group in which more than 2000 students from across the country had participated. In 2015, another student Amandeep Singh had won an international design competition. The students of the Department have been winning accolades at various national level events like ZoNASA and NASA conventions. Five faculty members from the Department have been awarded by A3 foundation, Chandigarh which promotes Architectural education in the country and is the brainchild of Ar. S.D. Sharma, who has worked with Le Corbusier during the design of Chandigarh.

Head of Department, Ar. Ripu Daman Singh expression satisfaction with the fact that the Department has been keeping up well with the expectations of the students and employers. Campus Director, Dr. Gursharan Singh congratulated the Department of Architecture for the success. Registrar, MRSPTU, Dr. Jasbir Singh Hundal appreciated the efforts put in by the staff and faculty in maintaining excellent status amongst other institutes. Dr. M.P.S. Ishar, Vice chancellor, MRSPTU, Bathinda lauded the achievements of Department of Architecture and hoped that all 100% seats would be filled by next round of admission.
