BBSB Armed Forces Preparatory Academy making new strides-Maj.Gen Lamba(R)

“Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Armed Forces Preparatory Academy at Fatehgarh Sahib provides a golden opportunity for 10th & 12th class students to choose career as Commissioned Officers in Defence Services” said Major General (Dr.) GS Lamba, VSM Commandant, BBSB Armed Forces Preparatory Academy, Fatehgarh Sahib.
Major General (Dr.) GS Lamba, VSM Commandant BBSB Armed Forces Preparatory Academy, further informed that the academy has been established by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Education Trust in Fatehgarh Sahib in 2016. The Institute aims at training selected young boys from Punjab for permanent commission into the armed forces through the National Defence Academy. BBSBAFPA will provide academic and technological training of the highest quality in order to equip cadets with appropriate qualifications as a foundation for their service careers.
From 2017 session, a graduate plus integrated course was commenced for girls preparing them for Women Entry Scheme into Defence Forces as Officers through SSCW (NT) scheme.
Major General (Dr.) GS Lamba, VSM further divulged that till date 8 cadets of the academy has cleared the NDA and 29 Merchant Navy Officers 2018 entrance exams.
For boys-11th and 12th Non Medical with NDA Integrated course and for girls-women entry scheme with graduation is provided in the campus. Besides Academic training, specialized training in personality development, soft skills, communication skills, preparation for NDA entrance exam, Services Selection Board (SSB) are also being given along with Physical fitness, sports and drill. The academy has its own State of Art infra structure available including Air conditioned Labs, 24X7 Wifi Campus , State of art Library and cyber café, Complete infra structure for Physical training including a state of art gymnasium, Complete infra structure for SSB training
