Bhagwant Mann made first major announcement for Punjabis after becoming CM

Within 24 hours after assuming Punjab chief minister office,Bhagwant Mann has announced to launch a “Anti Corruption Helpline” on the martyrdom day of Shaheed-a-azam Bhagat Singh March 23,2022.
He said “I’m going to give my whatsapp number to the general public. The public may send recording, audio, video on that number. Chief minister office will check the credentials of the audio, video and if found true, we will take action against that officer.”
“If someone asks you for a bribe in Punjab to do some work, don’t say no—take your phone out and record their voice, give it to us, we will trap them or verify it and take necessary action”
Bhagwant Mann made first major announcement for Punjabis after becoming CM. He gave an example of Arvind Kejriwal 49 day govt in Delhi where he had launched a similar helpline in 2013 and got accolades from the general public. This was a key electoral promise of the AAP in the Punjab assembly elections to eradicate corruption in Punjab.
