Chandumajra  blames AAP govt for Patiala violence

Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) senior vice president,spokesman  and former member of parliament Prem Singh Chandumajra has blamed the Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) government of Punjab for unfortunate violence in Patiala.

While talking to media persons at Rupnagar on Sunday Chandumajra said that as per media reports despite intelligence inputs regarding possibility of tension in Patiala,the police and Punjab government failed to act in this regarding.

He alleged that the intelligence inputs were in the knowledge of  Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann,who failed to take action to prevent clash between two groups in Patiala under a deep rooted conspiracy of the cornered state government to divert the attention of the people of the state from real issues like  power crisis,less yield of wheat  and non fulfillment of other promises.

Chandumajra termed the allegations of  Bhagwant Mann that Patiala incident was clash between Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP workers as extremely unfortunate and childish and accused the chief minister of trying to use such unfortunate incidents to get political mileage by blaming the political parties for the same.

He said that there was need to restore peace in Patiala by taking in to confidence all the political parties, but the statement of the chief minister added fuel to the fire.

SAD also criticised the police for labelling  Baljinder Singh Parwana as mastermind of the Patiala incident .On the other hand police did not acted against  Shiv Sena leader Harish Singla,who was real instigator and was even expelled by his party ,in the manner police were required to do so.

He said that Damdami Taksal Rajpura leader Barjinder Singh Parwana was not present on the spot where the incident took place adding that implication of people like Parwana in false cases could create new controversy and lead to strong opposition.

SAD Rupnagar district president Gurinder Singh Gogi,former municipal council Rupnagar president Paramjit Singh Maskkar,former councillor Gurmukh Singh Saini,SAD leader Harjit Singh Haveli, Surinder Singh ,.Gurpreet Singh were also present on the occasion.
