Civil Surgeon Patiala resigned, govt appointed new Civil Surgeon

Patiala civil Surgeon Dr Manjit Singh, an eye specialist who had joined as civil surgeon only 10 months ago today resigned from the post. He has submitted his resignation to Additional Chief Secretary,Punjab Health and Family Welfare. He has served one day notice. Ironically, the state health department had given Singh a two-year extension only two months ago for his good performance.
He has resigned from his position here on Friday afternoon to protest his latest transfer orders.
Meanwhile Punjab govt. Health and family welfare department appointed Dr. Harish Malhotra as Civil Surgeon Patiala.
Later in the evening Dr Harish Malhotra joined as Civil Surgeon patiala after transfer from Directorate Health Services,Punjab . Chandigarh . All officials and employees of Civil Surgeon welcomed him on his joining. After joining as Civil Surgeon Dr. Malhotra officials and staff to be punctual and sincere and do their work with dedication and honesty.He promised that the services provided by health department will reach to every community.Targets set under all national programme will be met as per time guidelines. He ensure people coming to this office for their problems will get their work done on priority basis without any delay
