CM directs to expedite the work of Shiv Dham

After inspecting the construction work of Shiv Dham today morning, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the target is to complete the work of the first phase of the grand-divine Shiv Dham in Kangani Dhar of Mandi in the next two months. Efforts would be made to complete the work and inaugurate it by the end of August. He directed the officer’s and the agency engaged in construction to expedite the work.

Jai Ram Thakur said that with the benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Asian Development Bank funded project worth Rs. 2100 crore has been approved for tourism development in the state. This would give a new impetus to tourism development activities in the state. The work of the second phase of Shiv Dham would also be included in this project and the work would be started soon after completing all the formalities.

CM directs to expedite the work of Shiv Dham

Chief Minister said that Rs. 40 crore were being spent on the first phase of Shiv Dham. This was an ambitious project and with this Mandi would emerge firmly on the religious-cultural tourism map of the country and the world would witness a new form of tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh.

It is worth mentioning here that the construction of Shiv Dham in an area of ​​about nine and a half hectares is important for Mandi district from the tourism point of view and religious faith. This will be the first such religious tourist destination in North India, which will be a center of attraction for domestic as well as foreign tourists.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had laid the foundation stone of this dream project Shiv Dham on 27th February, 2021 in Mandi. With this, he has made the dream of making Chhoti Kashi Mandi a center of religious tourism attraction. This project will also create new employment opportunities for the people besides development of the area.

Earlier, the Chief Minister listened to the public grievances at Circuit House Mandi.

MLA Inder Singh Gandhi, President Zila Parishad Pal Verma, Deputy Commissioner Arindam Chaudhary, SP Shalini Agnihotri, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mandi H.S. Rana, BJP Mandal President Manish Kapoor, Vice President Panchayat Samiti Sadar Mandi Bhubaneshwar, Municipal Councilor Pankaj Kapur and other councilors and senior officers of various departments were also present on the occasion.
