In what can be termed as the confluence of two likeminded sectors viz. Social Service and Art, Community Foundation Panchkula and 105arts have joined hands to make a change for the better in the lives of underprivileged children. The purpose behind coming together of these two institutions of considerable repute is to ensure social, economic and educational upliftment of the street children especially those dwelling in the slums.

It would not be out of place here to have a sneek peek into the profiles of the two institutions.

COMMUNITY FOUNDATION PANCHKULA:

In order to contribute its bit in helping the humanity, the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, PANCHKULA is shouldering enormous responsibility being so scrupulously a follower of the ideology of extending helping hand to all those who are in distress and need a healing touch besides the assurance that YES, THERE IS SOMEBODY WHO CARES!

As part of its social responsibility to cater for the entire humanity, Community Foundation is running various welfare centric activities for the children hailing from economically poor background since the last 15 years near the Ghaggar bridge led by Ravee Pandher (9888100030).

The Community Foundation undertakes a multitude of tasks including helping these children in whichever way it can besides educating them against sexual harassment, teaching self defence techniques, inculcating a sense of keeping proper hygiene especially among women.

Rendering yeoman’s service to the fellow humans especially in the trying times of Covid-19 pandemic, and holding aloft the banner of humanism in this hour of need and living up to the ideals of ‘Vasudheva Kutumbkam’ (The entire world is a family), the ‘Community Foundation Panchkula’ has also been providing free lunch to all the Covid and Quarantine patients of the tri-city i.e. Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali.

105arts:-

It is a young art gallery in Chandigarh which has been conceived with love and passion by an art lover and art collector Mehak Bhan (9501059200).

Besides, it provides a platform to the painters, sculptors, digital artists, amongst others who don’t get an adequate opportunity to showcase their art.

The gallery hosts its next art exhibition by multiple distinguished artists from across the country; from 26th March to 1st April 2022 in a show titled and themed “Lagaav”.
