Cooking cost rates increases under the mid-day meal scheme

Cooking cost rates have been increased under the mid-day meal scheme for lunch provided to primary and upper primary school students.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of Punjab State Mid Day Meal Society said that the cooking cost rates for primary school students from class I to V which were Rs.4.48 per student have now been increased to Rs.4.97 per student, per day. Similarly the cooking rates for students of upper primary classes from 6th to 8th which were Rs.6.71 have now been increased to Rs.7.45 per student, per day.
Cooking cost rates increases under the mid-day meal scheme. According to the spokesperson, these new rates of cooking cost under mid-day meal scheme have been implemented from May 15,2020.
