Corona didn’t spare even chief minister

One of India’s largest state -Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has tested Covid 19 positive.The same was confirmed by the chief minister himself, through a tweet. He has been admitted to the Chirayu Hospital in state capital Bhopal.

61 years old Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted “My dear countrymen, I was having COVID-19 symptoms and, after a test, my report came back positive. I am following all the guidelines and will quarantine myself according to the doctor’s advice”.

He also urged those who had come in contact with him to get their tests done as well and appealed to colleagues and individuals to take all possible precaution to avoid infection.

“I appeal to the people of my state to be careful, just a little carelessness invites the coronavirus. I made every effort to avoid the virus but people used to meet me on many subjects,” Chouhan added.

Giving information through tweet Chief Minister, who was to hold a meeting at 11.30 AM, have been quarantined. In my absence, Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Health Minister Vishvas Sarang and others will lead the meeting.

Corona didn’t spare even chief minister. The Madhya Pradesh CM disclosed the news on Twitter. His announcement came days after Cabinet Minister Arvind Bhadoria tested positive for the disease. Bhadoria had attended a Cabinet meeting and had travelled with the CM to Lucknow to attend the funeral of Governor Lalji Tandon earlier this week.

The chief minister also said he would henceforth hold his regular meetings via video-conference. “If treated on time, any Covid patient can recover easily. I hold regular meetings every evening to monitor the pandemic situation in the state. From now on, I shall hold the same via video conference,” he said.
