Covid 19-lesser cases than yesterday reported in Patiala district; sr dy mayor tested positive

As per civil surgeon Patiala Dr Harish Malhotra, 22 cases were reported in Patiala district . Out of these 22, 10 cases were reported from local Patiala, 9 from Samana and 1 each from Nabha, Rajpura and Ghanaour. Now active cases in Patiala are 324. Patiala’s senior deputy mayor Yoginder Singh Yogi is also tested positive.
Dr. Malhotra said it had come to his notice that the cannon diversion and the people of the adjoining area had heard a viral audio from Maharashtra in which the health department and the administration get Rs 1.5 lakh per positive case in case of covid positive case. This is making it difficult to get samples from people who have come in contact with positive cases and people are refusing to give samples.However, there is no truth in this audio and this audio is completely false. He reprimanded such elements and said that legal action would be taken against them under the Disaster Management Act if they did not refrain from viralizing the audio / video which created such an atmosphere of false rumors and terror.
16 cases detected in contact tracing of Covid 19 positive patients.Dr. Malhotra said that under Mission Fateh today one patient from Covid Care Center and two patients from Rajindra Hospital in District Patiala have been discharged and sent home.
