Dharam Pal Gupta takes charge as Barnala DC

Dharam Pal Gupta, a 2004-batch IAS officer, assumed the charge as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Barnala on Monday here at District Administrative Complex. Previous DC, Ghanshyam Thori, has been transferred to Sangrur district.

Before joining at Barnala, Dharam Pal Gupta was posted as DC Mansa and prior to that he was Director, Technical Education Punjab.

Immediately after assuming charge, DC visited several administrative offices inside District Administrative Complex and also conducted a special checking of Civil Hospital Barnala. He said that he was committed to provide transparent administration and he will ensure the proper disposal of various welfare schemes to the needy persons.

Dharam Pal Gupta said that he will always prefer to ensure to pay proper heed to public grievances and issues so that such issues could be sorted out well in time. He added that timely and speedy resolution of public grievances, expeditious processing of revenue cases and timely execution of development projects would remain his top priorities.

While his visit to civil hospital, DC thoroughly inspected every ward and facility being provided to common people at the hospital. He also sought the list of requirements regarding staff and other items and ensured that all the demands will be addressed soon.

SSP Barnala Harjit Singh, ADC (development) Parveen Kumar, SDM Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Commissioner (AC general) Mankanwal Singh Chahal, AC (grievances) Dr. Himanshu Gupta, ACUT Shayri Malhotra, ACUT Pavitar Singh, SP Sharanjit Singh, DDPO Sanjeev Sharma among others were also present on the occasion.
