Feeding India project launched by Rotary club Zirakpur

The Rotary Club, Zirakpur project ‘Feeding India’ was launched by Harjinder Kaur here today. Under project, a ‘Happy Fridge’ was installed with the collaborative efforts of Zomato Feeding India and Empower a NGO for special children at Gurdwara Shri Bagh Shaheedan, sector 44 .

Among others, senior Rotarians PP AP Singh and CJ Singh, Karan Jaspal Singh President of Rotary Club Zirakpur, Sharmita Bhinder secretary , Rotarians Dilraj Singh, Raj Gupta, Ravi Sharma, Vishal Dua, Sardar Satpal Singh from Gurdwara committee, Ram Lal ex-MC counselor and Col A.S Bhinder representing ex-service men association were presented during occasion.

People with leftover food can put in the fridge and also donate some amounts of fruits juices or anything they wish, said Karan Jaspal Singh. We would want the whole community to join in support and make this a success he said adding we will coming up with many fridges in the tricity and zirakpur

One can leave it and somebody who is in need can take and eat it or carry with them, said Sharmita Bhinder. The Gurdwara committee will contributing for the upkeep , safety and filling the fridge as well.
