First autonomous college in North India Mata Gujri College made hat-trick

Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, the first autonomous college in North India under the leadership of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, has been awarded ‘A’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore for the third time in a row.

Jagdeep Singh Cheema, Honorary Secretary, College Governing Body, while congratulating all the college staff and expressing happiness, said that Mata Gujri College is committed to develop the students in all aspects while meeting the present educational needs and very less colleges from Punjab have received ‘A’ grade from NAAC.

On this occasion, Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh said that this success has been achieved due to the blessings of Mata Gujri Ji and Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. He added that this achievement is due to the able guidance of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Harjinder Singh Dhami and Honorary Secretary of the College Governing Body Jagdeep Singh Cheema. He said that General Secretary of Shiromani Committee  Karnail Singh Panjoli, Secretary of Shiromani Committee Education Sukhminder Singh and Director Education of Shiromani Committee Dr. Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal congratulated all the college staff for this wonderful achievement.

He further added that a three member team of NAAC has visited the college on 17th and 18th February in which they visited various departments of the college and met the students, teaching and non teaching staff, alumni, student Discussions were held with parents and members of the governing body.

On this occasion, IQAC Coordinator Prof. Anupreet Singh Tiwana apprised about the importance of NAAC and attributed the success to the tireless work and dedication of the entire staff.  Dr. Bikramjit Singh, Vice Principal of the College, Dr. Harjit Singh, Controller Examination Dr. Kamalpreet Kaur, Dean Academics, all teachers and students were present on the occasion.
