Giani Zail Singh engineering college alumni association Ludhiana chapter begins

Amidst a gathering of distinguished engineers, Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology (GZSCCET), Bathinda Alumni Association’s Ludhiana Chapter began with fanfare at Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) Officers Club in Ludhiana.
It was inaugurated by Dr. Savina Bansal, Campus Director of GZSCCET and Dean Academic Affairs of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Savina Bansal said GZSCCET being the oldest technical Institute established by Punjab Government is proud of its rich legacy of worthy Engineers and Architects, who have been serving the society at national and International levels.
Such Chapters will facilitate building a strong and long-lasting relationship between Institute and its alumni for fruitful collaborations, Industry-Institute interactions, internships, and placements besides mentoring and grooming of the current students for better future.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr. R.K. Bansal, Dean Student Welfare of the University and Coordinator Alumni Relation GZSCCET lauded the work done by GZSCCET in Engineering and allied fields. “We shall work collectively to rejoin with our roots and branches,” he appealed, while apprising the alumni of on-going projects in the GZSCCET.
Those present included Alumni Er. Rahul Gagneja, Superintending Engineer Local Government Punjab, Er. Raminderjit Singh, Superintending Engineer PSPCL, Er. Ashok Kumar Daroch, Superintending Engineer BBMB, Architects Rajan Tangri and Bimaldeep along with Er. Harinder Singh Sehra successful Entrepreneur in the area of providing electronic solutions to Textile industries and Proprietor of TechZone Ludhiana and Er. Lokesh Jain, Faculty at PAU Ludhiana.
Earlier in April 2019 GZSCCET has successfully organized the 25-years Silver Jubilee Reunion celebrations of 1989 and 1994 batch admitted students of B.Tech and B.Arch, in which more than 150-alumni from India and 7-Foreign countries including USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Qatar, Singapore, Dubai participated. Those attended included Er. Vikram Aggarwal, District and Sessions Session Judge Ambala, Er. Harpreet Singh Professor and Dean IIT Ropar, Er. Aashotosh Bajaj CEO J&K Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, Damanjeet Singh, Gurinder Singh Goindi and Puneet Bansal entrepreneurs running successful Export-houses.
It may be mentioned here that the alumni of Alumni of GZSCCET were recipients of many prestigious national and international awards and honours, who have been serving around the World. They have excelled in the variegated fields including Central services like IPS, IRS and Judicial Services, Armed Forces, ISRO, Scientists and faculty in IIT and NITs besides in the field of Engineering and Research. Many of them are enhancing the productivity of the companies like Intel, Honeywell, TCS, Procter & Gamble, Reliance, Broadcom, Qualcomm, Siemens, Accenture, Shell India, Virtusa Inc., HAL, SAIL, GE Power, HCL Axon, Trident, BBMB, BSNL, ICICI, Phillips, Samsung Electronics, HSBC, NTPC, L&T, Bosch Ltd, UESS Corporation, Emerson and various state Services.
