Following reports of seven pending samples received as negative today there is now only one positive case and no sample is pending in the district.
Stating this in a press release Deputy Commissioner M. K. Aravind Kumar said that strict and prompt measures adopted by the entire team of the district administration and police helped in getting this result.
He said that the health department has obtained 54 samples in total ever since the lockdown was imposed in the state and today 53 of them are negative. The one found positive, in 18 years old resident of Meerut, too is give best treatment and is likely to come clean of this virus in coming days.
“We are leaving not stone unturned to keep the deadly Corona Virus away from our jurisdiction for which every possible step is taken in larger public interest,” the deputy commissioner said.
He pointed out that all the entry routes, internal roads, market area, grain market, vegetable market, banks and other vulnerable places are under the tight grip of the officials concerned.
