Govt extended date for IAS, Group A officers applying for posts under CSS,CVO

Union govt has extended the date for applying under Central Staffing Scheme 2019. As per information the Ministry of Personnel’s Department of Personnel & Training has invited Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and Group A officers for the “Offer List” under Central Staffing Scheme 2019 for the posts under Central staffing Scheme and Chief Vigilance officers on November 23,2019.(file:///C:/Users/pc/Desktop/IASvGY1a.PDF)

The department didn’t get enough response from the officers, who wants to go on deputation with union ministries, at centre or with PSU’s. The department again extended the date of applying on March,23,2020 and last date of applying was April,30,2020.

Now for the third time, the department has extended the last date for applying under Central staffing Scheme and Chief Vigilance officers to May, 31, 2020.

As per the orders issued by J. Srinivasan, Director (MM) , “the offer list under Central staffing Scheme-2019 for the posts under Central staffing Scheme and Chief Vigilance officers will continue to be available for consideration till 31.05.2020”

Central Staffing Scheme is a provision to man posts in the Ministries/Departments of the Govt. of India. It draws officers from all the State Governments and participating Group-A services. Each year the, Department of Personnel & Training issues a circular to all the Chief Secretaries of the State Governments and the Secretaries of Ministries which are cadre controlling authorities of the participating Group-A services, requesting them to send names of suitable and willing officers for the Central Staffing Scheme. Among the names so nominated, an ‘offer list of names of officers is prepared each year. Appointments to vacancies filled under the Central Staffing Scheme are made from this ‘offer list’.
