Hassle free Paddy procurement process on full swing-DC Fatehgarh Sahib

Dr. Prashant Kumar Goyal, Deputy Commissioner, Fatehgarh Sahib stated that the hassle free paddy procurement process was going on in full swing in the district as elaborate arrangements have been made for a smooth procurement.
The Deputy Commissioner disclosed that that out of 79, 840 MT of total wheat arrivals in different mandis of the district, 78, 506 MT has been purchased and 30, 905 MT has been lifted, while the remaining was in the process of getting lifted. He also informed that payments of around Rs 73.18 crore have been made to the farmers.
Out of the total arrivals in the district, PunGrain has purchased 14, 901 MT, Markfed has purchased 14, 698 MT, Punsup has purchased 11077 MT, Punjab State Warehousing Corporation has purchased 13, 473 MT, Punjab Agro has purchased 08, 848 MT, FCI 15, 489 MT and traders have purchased 20 MT of Wheat. He said that the harvesting of the wheat with combines between 07:00 pm to 09:00 am has been already restricted. Orders have been already issued in this regard and action would be initiated against the violators. He appealed the farmers that they should bring completely dried crop in the mandis so that they would not face any difficulty during the procurement process.
