Himachal CM releases deputy director in public relations deptt Gurmeet Bedi’s book

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur released a research book based on Astrology “Astrology Ek Vigyan” written by an eminent writer Gurmeet Bedi yesterday evening in Chandigarh. He said that astrology is an ancient science, in which authentic information is given about planetary constellations and celestial bodies by making very precise calculations. He said that the Vedas have been called the sixth eye of astrology. Indian sages and mystics have enriched this genre by writing many important texts on astrology.
The Chief Minister Jairam Thakur expressed happiness that apart from creation in different genres of literature Gurmeet Bedi, after his extensive research of three decades, has tried to prove it a complete science by resolving many misconceptions spread about astrology in his book. He said that there should be constant research on the subject of astrology so that the world can be benefitted from this glorious heritage of India. He congratulated Gurmeet Bedi for doing research on the subject and hoped that he would continue his study and research on the subject in future as well.
Gurmeet Bedi is the Deputy Director in the Information and Public Relations Department of Himachal Pradesh and is posted in Press Liaison Office, Chandigarh. In this research book he has described in detail the nature of various planets and their impact on human life. In various genres of literature, Gurmeet Bedi has written nine books and three novels. He has received several awards from abroad including Himachal Academy and his works have been translated into many languages. His poetry collection ‘Meri He koe Aakriti’ has also been translated into German by the German poetess Rojvita. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya also released this book last month. Gurmeet Bedi is also the first Himachali writer to write a research book on astrology. Bhavna Prakashan, the leading publisher of Delhi, has published this book.
