Hostel Farewell Party ‘Rukhshat-2019’Organized at World University

Bebe Nanaki Girls Hostel of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib organized a farewell party ‘Rukhshat-2019’ for the outgoing students who are completing final years of their respective courses in the various University departments. The event initiated with the warm welcome of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pritpal Singh. Dr. Singh motivated the students to be more aware about their heritage and work harder for their studies. He conveyed his wishes for the success and bright career of the outgoing students. During this programme, Amandeep Kaur, Warden, Sarbjeet Kaur, Assistant Warden along with faculty residents Kanchan and Navdeep Kaur were present. On this occasion, hostellers shared golden memories during their period of stay while pursuing their courses in the various departments of the University. They said that these years are best of their lives during which they have learnt life skills along with academics. They further said that number of facilities like that of internet, gym, fabulous canteen and mess services etc. are available at Bebe Nanaki Girls Hostel which have contributed a lot in their academic, physical and mental growth along with its safest and serene environment.
On this occasion, the hostel residents expressing their emotions said that whenever they faced tough situation while working hard for their studies they always got best direction, guidance and support from the warden, assistant warden, faculty residents as well as from the senior student residents of the University. They together made us feel at home during our stay in the hostel. They told that the Bebe Nanaki Girls Hostel of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University is their home away from home. They further shared that to aware the students about the teachings of Guru Sahiban, there is a special arrangement for ‘Gurbani Santhya’ classes and moreover, the interested students also got training for the Sikh Martial Art Gatka. During this cultural evening students presented giddha, bhangra, solo and group dances. Gurvinder Kaur, Asvinder Kaur, Sumandeep Kaur and Manjot Kaur were selected Miss farewell, first runner up, miss charming and miss evening, respectively.
