Law Awareness Programme at Mata Sahib Kaur College

Legal Literacy Club of Mata Sahib Kaur Khalsa Girls College of Education, Dhamo Majra, Patiala organized Law Awareness Programme in collaboration with Women Welfare Self Employment Society in the college campus.

Ashish Bansal (Chief Judicial Magistrate) graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Jagmohan Singh Saini (Ex. Additional Advocate General) was the Guest of Honour at ย Mata Sahib Kaur Khalsa Girls College of Education, Dhamo Majra, Patiala, Law Awareness Programme.

While welcoming the Guestsย  College Principal, Dr. Harmeet Kaur Anand said that Legal Awareness is very important for the enlightened citizens .She further delineatedย  the activities which are performed under the Legal Literacy club of the college, which will help the futureย  teachers to inculcate this kind of awareness among the young generations.

Jagmohan Singh Saini (Ex. Additional Advocate General) said that it is the need of the hour to keep an eye over the social life of our children so that we can avoid the dire consequences in the future. He further gave a detailed information about the section 354 of the constitution, which is meant for the protection of the girls.

The Chief Guest Ashish Bansal in his address said that these days anti social elements are alluring youth in great numbers & Legal Services Authorities are established to help such people. He further delineated the categories to whom free legal services are provided by the govt. He also gave a detailed information about the working & functioning of Legal Services Authority and urged the students to use the law with wisdom. The other dignitaries who graced this occasion were Jaswant Sing Kauli (Patron Women Welfare Society), Surinder Ahluwalia (President, Women Welfare Self Employment Society), Hardeep Kaur (Secretary), Harjit Kaur (Chairperson) and Harbans Singh Gill (Sarpanch, Dhamo Majra). The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Jaswant Singh Kauli. All the staff Members were also present during this function.
