Karandeep Singh, student of MA Journalism and Mass Communication of Mata Gujri College brought laurels to the college by winning Silver Medal in Spot Photography Competition of Inter Zonal Youth Festival organized by Punjabi University, Patiala.
Director Principal Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu congratulated the student for his outstanding achievement and lauds the role of Journalism and Mass Communication department in imparting employment oriented skill education to the students. He also appreciated the hard work of the student in winning Silver Medal.
Giving brief information regarding the competition, Prof. Reena Kaur Dhillon, Head, Journalism Department said that the participants were asked to capture the five photographs on the themes of Texture, Bird and Portrait. “I want to congratulate Karandeep that he clicked all the photographs with an eye of imagination and creativity”, she added.
Displaying the Medal winning photographs clicked by Karandeep, Prof. Dhillon said that one can easily guess the level of competition after having a look at these photographs.
