A day long display of Military equipment at the Army ground Patiala on 18 Jan 2020 gave visitors a rare opportunity to see how the Indian Army operates to keep the nation secure and safe.

The event “ Military Equipment Display” organized by the elite ‘AIRAWAT DIVISION’  drew school and college students in large numbers.

Besides familiarising youngsters with guns and weapons, the event was organized to inspire the youth to join the Indian Army. The event was attended by the General Officer Commanding alongwith other civil dignitaries including Principals and faculty of various schools and colleges including KV, APS, YPS, amongst others.

Military equipment display; students from Patiala showed keen interest in equipment’s, as Army officers and troops explained the employment of various weapons to the visitors. Different type of equipment and weapons including tanks, Infantry Combat Vehicles, artillery guns, radars, machines guns, engineer equipment and rescue equipment were displayed on the occasion.

Military equipment display; students from Patiala showed keen interest in equipment’s,and the opportunity was also utilized by the Army to educate youngsters about the Army recruitment process.

Simarjeev Singh a student said” i am feeling glad to see the dazzling display of defence weaponary including T 90 tank, Light & Medium Machine and pneumatic Guns raising patriotic fervour amongst the youngsters.

Mannit Malhotra, an engineering student said lauded the defence authorities for making this grand attempt at inculcating the sense of nation building in youth.
