Morning message of RGMC RO created confusion ; stands on his order of postponement of club elections

On the day of election, Rajindra Gymkhana and Mahindra Club , Patiala, the returning officer (RO) Vinay Vatrana has released a video message in which he once again repeated that the club elections has been postponed. He even said that who so ever can violate this order can be prosecuted and held liable for this.
While giving the reference of the club constitution,Vatrana, a senior advocate had said “ In the AGM all the agenda ,except elections will be taken up before the start of the voting” .They can hold the AGM, but no voting will be held.”
Vatrana added that the polling had been postponed and the election committee stood dissolved after some members created a ruckus in the club premises.He said that he had wrote a letter to the Registrar of Companies about this development and now RoC will decide, when to conduct elections. Now, the elections will be held under the supervision of RoC.
Vatrana added that he had requested the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Patiala to provide him security as the club members may harm him, attack him due to the tough stand he had taken for the betterment of the club.These “club grabbers” can go to any extent to harm him.
Whereas the members who are contesting elections, their supporters are still hopeful that elections will be held as per the given schedule, time after the completion of annual general meeting (AGM).
