MOU signed between World University and PGI Chandigarh

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib and PGI, Chandigarh; ICMR, Center for Innovation and Bio Design (CBOID). Co-operation between two institutions will be held while re-emphasizing the importance of innovation and training in the area of biomedical design, instrumentation and research. Under this agreement, a collaboration of high-ranking scholars and experts will be established in both institutions. The resources and research work of both the institutes’ will be further enhanced by mutual cooperation to promote research and development in the above areas.
The agreement will have a three-year term, which will be extended from time to time. Under this agreement, the co-ordination committee of the two organizations will meet twice a year to review the progress of the joint programs to be launched. Dr. Prit Pal Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr. C. Rajesh, Head, Department of Biotechnology, Dr. Virender Garg, Representative, CBOID, PGI, Chandigarh were present on the occasion. Dr Prit Pal Singh said that the MOU will provide a great deal of support to the research work by students, scholars and faculty members of the two institutes.
