While addressing, Prof. Sidhu appealed to the gathering to adopt the attitude of humanity, brotherhood, national integrity, progress, prosperity, peace, and justice forgetting the differences of color, creed and caste.

“India is a progressive nation of this world and has achieved advancements in technology, military, arts, agriculture and architecture etc., but the  process of Nation Building is still on,” he said while strongly appealing to the youth to arise to the challenges of the day and dedicate themselves to the building of strong Nation.

Being a technical university,” We  have a big  responsibility on our shoulders to contribute to the progress of the nation. Teachers, who are heavily paid from the Government exchequer  should love their profession and be “Role Model” for the students. “A teacher is a beacon light that acts as a lighthouse to guide the stranded students in the sea of life,” he said.

However, in this competitive world to march further, a nation requires the power of Science & Technology to be counted among the best.   ” Even if each of us decides to work with one problem of our society,  we will see that we will be making great contributions towards the nation, the state and to the university,” Prof. Sidhu said while  appealing to the students for innovation  and research.
