NATAK MELA- A theatre initiative by students,begins today
Patiala-With this era of modernization, people are busy with their hectic schedule. They find enjoyment in their life by watching movies or TV. But at the same time they are running away from the base of all this i.e., Theatre. Earlier in times people used to watch and promote theatre, but with the new trend of movies, it is shrinking.
Few students from Patiala who are having experience in theatre and event management, have decided to start the initiative to bring back the culture of theatre to Patiala.
They have involved the biggest asset of any nation i.e., The Youth, to give them a new identity. After watching their hard work and dedication many sponsors are helping them. They want people who love theatre, to come there and the ones who aren’t having any knowledge about it, must give a chance to theatre to get a new Identity.
Bringing to you NATAK MELA 2018, the first of its kind theatre event in Patiala. It is being organised by college students-turned-entreprenaurs who are a group of creative actors, writers, musicians, directors and artists. Natak mela basically comprises of 5 short plays, a colorful combination of every emotion brought alive on the 5 th of may ( I pm and 5 pm) at NZCC, Sherawala gate . The prices of the tickets are Rs 100 150 and 200, with assured gift vouchers worth RS 850 and 1000. Taking into consideration the traveling problem of college students, they are providing free Ola cabs rides. Further bus services is also their for the students from Punjabi University Patiala, Rajiv Gandhi National University of law and Thapar University. The bus service is also for the faculty members.
