After a weeklong hectic working, lobbying by MLAs, congress high command, 15 MLAs finally got success in booking their berth in Punjab cabinet. These 15 MLAs took oath of office and secrecy on Sunday, September 26,2021.
The residents of Punjab, bureaucrats, politicians, everyone got curious to know which minister is getting which department. But the congress govt fails to raise the curtain of suspense, till now, about which minister is getting which department.Even chief minister is in dilemma and he had a virtual meeting on this Rahul Gandhi.
As per sources, a tiff is going on, about the allocation of departments, ministries. Old ministers of Capt Amarinder Singh led cabinet wants to retain their departments. They are saying that they wants to complete their ongoing projects , in time.Whereas, the new entrant in the cabinet also wants some key departments.
As per available information, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa wants Co-operation, home, vigilance. Another deputy chief minister OP Soni also wants local bodies department.
Likewise Amarinder Singh Raja warring wants Transport department, which was earlier with Razia Sultana. He wants to take this department as wants to nail the Badals transport. On this, Manpreet badal is opposing this.
Manpreet Badal wants Finance, excise and taxation. Aruna Chaudhary wants local bodies department. Similarly Rana Gurjit Singh also wants some key department like excise and taxation, or irrigation and mining or food supply.
But, insiders says Brahm Mohindra, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Vijayinder Singla may get their old departments. Raja Warring is likely to get transport . Gurkirat Kotli may get IT and Industries department. OP Soni may get Health department. Sukhjinder Randhawa may add home in its kitty along with cooperation. Manpreet Badal may add excise with finance.

On the point of seniority or the order in which thes MLAs took oath, Brahm Mohindra was the first person to take oath as cabinet minister. Manpreet Singh Badal came next after Brahm Mohindra . After Manpreet Singh Badal Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa,than Aruna Chaudhary , Sukhbinder Singh Sukhsarkaria, Rana Gurjit Singh, Razia Sultana, Vijay inder Singla,Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Kaka Randeep Singh, Raj Kumar Verka, Sangat Singh Gilzian, Pargat Singh, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and Gurkirat Singh Kotli took their oath.
