Patiala clash-Punjab Bandh call given by religious bodies

A Punjab bandh call is given by various Hindu organizations for April 30,2022.
The bandh call is given in protest against the clash erupted in Patiala on Friday morning, after the Shiv Sena had given a call to hold a protest march against pro-Khalistanis and raised slogans against Khalistan.
Today, Patiala city got tensed after a clash goes off between two religious communities, during an anti-Khalistan protest march today. The police fired in the air to disperse the crowd. At least two people are believed to have been injured in the clashes.
This all started after a call Khalistan Murdabad March organised by the Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) by shiv Sena leader Harish Singla.
Harish Singla, the executive president of the outfit, led the anti-separatist march from Patiala’s Arya Samaj Chowk to Kali Devi Temple.
Later, Harish Singla was taken into custody by the Punjab police.
Following the incident, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called for a law and order meeting with top officials. A curfew has also been imposed in Patiala from 7 pm Friday (April 29) to 6 am Saturday (April 30).
