Patiala Corona update; no let up in Covid cases, deaths

As per civil surgeon Patiala, today, 120 new cases and 4 deaths were reported in Patiala district. Yesterday 118 cases were reported in Patiala district. Today cured patients were discharged from covid care centres, hospitals in Patiala district and now total cured patients touched 2011 mark. Positive cases in Patiala go up to 3215 with todays new cases and active cases goes to 1144.
Patiala Corona update; no let up in Covid cases. Out of these 120 cases, 48 reported from Patiala, 16 from Rajpura, 18 from nabha , 9 from Samana, and rest 29 from different villages of the district. In Patiala district 28 cases were detected in contact tracing /92 from micro containment zones and from flu corners with flu type symptoms.
According to Dr. Malhotra, four more covid positive patients have died in the district today, including a 58-year-old woman from Ghas Mandi, Patiala who was suffering from chronic BP, diabetes etc. and was admitted to Rajindra Hospital due to shortness of breath. A 29-year-old woman from village Ghagroli, Tehsil Patran, who was admitted to Rajindra Hospital for the first time due to infection during abortion and cancer, was later admitted to PGI.The third was a 50-year-old man from Mahinder Ganj area of Rajpura who was suffering from chronic BP, diabetes and asthma. He was first admitted to Rajindra Hospital and later to a private hospital in Patiala. A 49-year-old resident of SST Nagar who is suffering from diabetes, BP. He was admitted to a private hospital in Mohali due to heart ailment. All of them died while undergoing treatment at the hospital, bringing the death toll of covid positive patients in the district to 60.
In Patiala,three each from Ghumman Nagar ,Arora Street, Trivani Chowk, Abchal Nagar, Harinder Nagar, Urban Estate Phase One, Two each from Tafzalpura, Fulkian Enclave, Chaura Camp, DMW, Lahori Gate, Maharaja Narendra Enclave. , Hari Nagar, Deep Nagar, Darshan Singh Nagar, Sidhu Colony, Malwa Enclave, Raghbir Marg, Khalsa Colony, Defense Colony, Khalsa Mohalla, Partap Nagar, Krishan Nagar, Majithia Enclave, Sevak Colony, Private Hospital, Sirhind Road, Near Mehr Singh Colony, Urban Estate Phase Two, Tripuri, Girls Hostel, Ratan Nagar, One each from Narula Colony, Suigaran Mohalla, Mohan Singh Colony, AIR Avenue Colony etc., four from Ajit Nagar, Nabha, three from Bank Street, Bharat Nagar, Dr. Waryam Singh Street, Kanvi Mohalla, Hira Mahal, One from Gobind Nagar, Defense Colony, Gurunanak Nagar, Shiva Enclave, Dashmesh Nagar, Kungrian Street, Sangatpura Mohalla etc.Four from New Dalima Vihar of Rajpura, two each from Old Rajpura and Ward No. 20, one each from Jattanwala Mohalla, Lakkar Mandi, Mohinder Ganj, Anand Nagar, KSM Road, New Dashmesh Nagar, Caller Colony etc. One, five cases have been reported from Jattan Patti in Samana, one each from Ram Basti, Indirapuri, Tej Colony and Samana City and 29 different villages have reported covid positive cases. These includes 7 pregnant ladies, four health staff and two police personnel.
