Patiala Industries Association felicitated CS Punjab; highlighted issues faced by them

Delegation of Patiala Industries Association (PIA)comprising of H P S Lamba, Jai Narain, Sanjay Singla, Yash Mohinder and Rajesh Singla met and felicitated Anirudh Tewari on his taking over as Chief Secretary Punjab. Director Industries Punjab C Sibin was also present in the meeting.
Issues faced by Industries in Punjab were highlighted and ways to improve industrial growth amongst MSME were discussed.
Patiala Industries Association felicitated CS Punjab; highlighted issues faced by them. Few main points like to relook at Industrial policy for Incentives to promote the investment in MSME sector which presently are more skewed towards Large and high turnover Industries , improving infrastructure in newly declared industrial zones as per master plan like electricity grid, widening of roads, availability of water and sewerage facilities , one nodal agency to clear drawings/maps of the industry instead 2-3 departments , streamlining of NOC’s by reducing unnecessary NOCs where jurisdiction of those departments are not there. Also electricity charges of Rs 5/- per unit which govt claims to give for small and medium industry are misnomer as these charges actually go upto 8-11/- per unit which are killing the MSME sector
Working of ESI and EPF departments were also discussed and suggestions to improve their working were shared with Chief Secretary Anirudh Tewari. Importance of four laning of Patiala Sirhind road were reiterated and early start of construction of this stretch was requested as lot of human lives are lost on this road which Chief Secretary assured to take up with right authorities.
Senior Industrialists Parvesh Mangla, Naresh Gupta, Ashwani Garg , Vikram Goyal, P S Walia, Sunil Sood and Rajinder Gupta appreciated the efforts taken by Chief Secretary to resolve the issues on priority.
