Patiala Police busted the accused who made threatening calls on WhatsApp

Deepak Pareek IPS, SSP Patiala said while releasing a press note that, a complaint was marked to Cyber Cell of Patiala Police to take action against unknown persons, who were using group calling on WhatsApp to threaten and abuse Hindu leaders in different cities of Punjab. Cyber Cell Patiala registered the FIR NO. 143 DATED 12.07.2022 U/S 506,120-B IPC AND 66-5, 67 IT ACT Police Station Kotwali Patiala on the basis of technical analysis and these activities were traced from mobile number +447494409604. The accused is a 16-year-old minor who is a resident of village Atiyana Tehsil Jagraon District Ludhiana.
Giving further information, he said that the accused had come in contact with many persons sitting abroad through mobile apps. Those who have provided foreign numbers and OTPs to use it on their WhatsApp, they also misleaded and provoked the above said persons to abuse and threaten. In this regard, the accused is being interrogated in detail to get information about his other associates living abroad.
