Patiala postal division celebrated Virtual International Yoga day –Aarti Verma

Since 2015, Yoga Day is being celebrated on 21st June every year.  The objective of observing the International Yoga day is to make the people aware of benefits of yoga and to build enduring public interest and highlighting its importance and contributions to public health.

This year, due to contagious nature of COVID-19, numerous restrictions exist with respect of mass gatherings and movement to avoid its spread.  Due to this, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India is encouraging people to learn about Yoga from the safety of their homes through various resources made available online at Yoga portal along with other social media platforms.

         

Aarti Verma, SSPOs Patiala told that Patiala Postal Division has also celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June for the physical and mental wellbeing of the employees and their families from Home at 0700 am online through Webex especially improving immunity in COVID-19 situation.

Dr. Chandra Kant Mishra, Yoga Guru from NSNIS Patiala has also become part of this celebration and shared his views about the importance of Yoga in day-to-day life. Besides promoting yoga amongst friends and family, staff also stands together in solidarity globally at 0700 a.m. on 21st June by collectively doing yoga from their homes.
