North India’s prestigious Rajindra Gymkhana and Mahindra club (RGMC) once again came into limelight, all for a wrong reason.

This time it came into news, as the local office of Punjab Fire Service Department has issued a second notice to the club for not taking the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the department.

As per the notice issued to the management of the Rajindra Gymkhana and Mahindra Club, Patiala, read “the local office of the Punjab Fire Service department has issued a previous notice and requested the management to do the needful as per the National Building Code of India, 2016 part IV and inform the department and get the required NOC from it. But, till date the club management had failed to get the required work done and had not taken any fire safety measures, in spite of the notice issued to the club, which is a clear and direct violation of Punjab Fire Prevention and Fire Safety act 2005.”
