Punjab Institute of Management and Technology, aiming at providing ‘Knowledge to employment’ organized a Mega Job FEST on 27 May 2017, an event which invites unemployed youth to attend in order to develop their careers, whether they are looking for employment, self-employment, continuing education, career training, vocational training or apprenticeship opportunities. Big crowd of Students of MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA,B.com, B. Com (p),M.com (p), BSc (NM) , BA, MA ( ENG) participated in the job fest .. In this Job Fest various companies like TATA, APEX ORGANICS, JUST DIAL , THINK NEXT, CARGILL, RELIGARE, TOUCHSTONE, CS INFOTECH, LIFE CELL, RALSON TYRES participated for providing employment opportunities to students.
It served as a medium to get information on requirements for various jobs and to get connected with employment agencies and employers and provided jobs for selected candidates. Participating companies offered on the spot letters to many deserving candidates. It was a wonderful platform to integrate the skills and knowledge of the underprivileged youth with appropriate jobs. The delight of the selected candidates was obvious from their statements. Dr Manisha Gupta (Director, PIMT) said that PIMT has regularly provided the corporate world with well-prepared professionals, and industry leaders. She expressed her gratitude to the delegates of various companies and revealed that PIMT- Job Fest has empowered the lives of the youth with the dignity of livelihood. Dr Manisha Gupta (Director PIMT) congratulated Training and placement officer Gurpreet Singh and Mohit Verma on successfully conducting the job fest .
