Post office started home collection of pensioner’s life certificate-Aarti Verma

Indian Post office is a life line of India, as it caters the 100 percent population of India, including those 66 percent who lives in rural India.

This year Post office added another feature in its services, to collect the “Digital Life Certificate (DLC) -Jeevan Pramaan” from the retired government employees, a mandatory yearly document for all the pensioners, who retired after serving the government department.

Aarti Verma Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Patiala division, said “Government of India has authorised the Indian Post office to collect the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) -Jeevan Pramaan from the pensioners in India, by sitting at home.”

“As per the scheme, now any pensioner-be a central government or state government or anyone who is receiving government pension, can avail this service from home through “Service Request” (http://ccc.cept.gov.in/covid/request.aspx) which has already being provided by Post Offices.  Pensioners, who are unable to leave home or who do want to go to banks in this Covid pandemic can upload their requests through the Post info App. The request will be forwarded to their post office and postman of their area will personally visit the pensioner home. The pensioner can contact or call the post office or post man of their area, to collect the live certificate details”, said Aarti Verma

Verma further added that “the post man will have the required system with him/her and he/ she will take pensioners biometric details, which will give the live certificate of the pensioner, to their concerned department “

Verma informed that the post office is charging Rs 70/- only, in cash for providing the door step service to the pensioner.

She has also appealed to all pensioners to “take the advantage of this facility and also tell their colleagues, friends, known circle to avail this service offered by Indian post office.”
