Post offices open counter for updation,enrollment of Aadhar
Patiala-India Post in collaboration with Unique Identification Authority of India has undertaken vital step to provide exclusive counter for updation and enrolment of Aadhar Identity, at its Post Offices.
Patiala Postal Division has accordingly opened 38 number of outlets/counters both in rural & Urban areas. In Fatehgarh District 9 Counters have become operational while 29 number of dedicated counters have become functional in Patiala district. With the outreach of India Post at every nook & corner of the country. 100% coverage shall be given to uncovered populace.
Apart from both Head Post Offices at Patiala & Rajpura, sub Post Offices namely Bhadson, Amloh, Mandigobindgarh, Mandigobindgarh Industrial town, Sirhind, Rajpura Townsip, Kauli, Manakpur , Banur Sanour, Bhari, Khamano Kalan, Fatehgarh Sahib, Bassi, Shambu, Sanghol, University, Samana, New Lal Bagh colony, Devigarh, Patran, Ghagga, Nabha, Tripri, Jaurian Bhatian, Dukhniwaran sahib, Patiala City, Majithia Enclave, Bahera Road, Medical College, DCW, Gurbax Colony, Civil Lines, Govt. Printing press, Law Courts & Sheran wala gate are entrusted Aadhar work, where public can attend for enrollment & updation of Aadhar number.
To facilitate physically challenged/old aged persons the Mobile Aadhar Service has also been introduced for updation of Aadhar work at their door steps. To avail this facility one has to get an appointment online with a medical certificate.
