PSMDTA condemn dictate issued by Director Govt Medical College, Patiala

Punjab State Medical & Dental Teachers Association (PSMDTA) has taken a serious note of the recent directive issued by the Director Principal of Government Medical College Patiala regarding maintenance of punctuality in the hospital.
The Association has condemned this unwanted office order which has gone viral on social media. Describing the dictate as demoralizing for the faculty, Dr. DS Bhullar and Dr. Darshanjit Singh Walia, President and General Secretary of the Association (PSMDTA)in a joint press release, said this defamatory order has sent wrong signals to the public and the higher authorities.
The college authorities instead of checking a few involved in wrong doings and unethical behaviour have targeted the whole faculty out of fear from the incoming government. It is not the duty of the doctors sitting in OPDs to check outsiders operating in the hospital premises rather the public and patients coming in the hospital should be vigilant from the outsider touts who fleece the patients for getting the investigations and tests done from the private laboratories and hospitals.
The association has assured the public and higher authorities regarding honest approach and fair dealing by the dedicated faculty and the doctors.
