Punjab Government nominates members of Punjab State Legal Services Authority

The Punjab Government in consultation with the Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court has nominated the members of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority. 

Disclosing this an official  spokesperson  of the Department of Legal and Legislative Affairs said that the nominated members of Punjab State Legal Services Authority included Vivek Puri District and Sessions Judge, S.A.S Nagar Amarjot Kaur Bhatti, District & Sessions Judge Hoshiarpur, Harleen Kaur Advocate resident of house no 562 green model town Jalandhar, Dr. Upneet Lalli Deputy Director, Institute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh, Gurmeet Kaur Bhattal, village uppli, Sangrur, Rupinder Singh Sandhu, Advocate  resident of  house no 45 Bhai Mani Singh Nagar, Barnala, Shashi Kant resident of house no 1384 nagpal street, Fazilka and Dr. Professor Amita Kaushal, Punjabi University, Patiala.

Punjab State Legal Services Authority has been constituted under Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 (39 of 1987), which is enacted to effectuate the constitutional mandate enshrined under Article 14 and 39-A of the Constitution of India. The object “ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR ALL”, so that justice is not denied to citizens by reasons of economic or other disabilities
