Punjab Govt appointed chairperson of Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib District planning committees

Punjab government has appointed Santokh Singh as Chairperson of Patiala District Planning committees. He is already secretary Punjab Congress Committee and remained Municipal Councilor from Patiala and President of Rajindra Gymkhana Club Patiala. A graduate in commerce from Govt Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala is a staunch congress worker and remained loyal with Capt Amarinder Singh’s family.
The government also appointed Harinder Singh Bhambri , a congress leader from Mandi gobindgarh as Chairperson of Fatehgarh Sahib District Planning committees. He remained Fatehgarh Sahib Congress committee president. Earlier Harinder Singh Bhambri, a close relative of the former Punjab Finance Minister and senior Shiromani Akali Dal member Late Capt Kanwaljit Singh was in Shiromani Akali Dal and was elected President of the Municipal Council of Mandi Gobindgarh.At that time the BJP councilors opposed his candidature and reportedly approached the high court to postpone his election.
