Pvt Colleges Non-Teaching Employees Union met Minister

Patiala: A delegation of Private Colleges Non-Teaching Employees Union (Punjab) Aided and Unaided met Minister of Higher Education, Punjab, Madam Razia Sultana at her residence at Malerkotla under the presidentship of Sukhminder Singh. The union members also presented a memorandum of their genuine demands to the minister.

Razia Sultana listened the genuine demands of the union very carefully and assured the union members that a meeting will be called and will try to implement their genuine demands by Punjab Government very shortly. The union members apprised the minister that their counterparts have already got everything implemented by Punjab Government but staff of non-teaching employees union is suffering from a long time.

Pvt Colleges Non-Teaching Employees Union met Minister

The union members said that enhanced HRA and Medical allowance have already implemented by the government for teaching staff working in the private colleges whereas the non-teaching staff members are getting these allowances on the un-revised scales. The major demands of staff are:

  1. Implement new grade pay with effect from 1.12.2011.
  2. To implement enhanced HRA and Medical Allowance as per new Pay commission.
  3. To release 5% interim relief installment.
  4. To implement 4-9-14 step up increments.
  5. To lift ban on the recruitments of Non-Teaching Employees and fill the vacant posts.
  6. To release regular salary grants.
  7. To implement pension and gratuity.

The delegation included Ajay Gupta (Patiala), Amrik Singh (Samana), Surinder Pal Singh Sadiki (Mastuana),Satnam Singh (Sangheda), Kishan Kumar (Patiala), Sadhu Singh (Sangheda) and Kuldeep Singh (Samana).
