Runner dies after completing marathon

A Super Sikhs Marathon was held at Anandpur Sahib on Sunday in which a runner from Jammu and Kashmir died after completing the marathon. About a thousand runners took part in the marathon. .
Marathon organiser Dr. Jas Simran Singh Kehal said that the runner Pranab Mahajan(42), a resident of RS Pura in Jammu and Kashmir completed the 21 km race in 1 hour and 50 at 7:50 am. After completing the marathon near Virast-e-Khalsa he went for roaming took photos etc. When he returned,he fainted at the gate of Virasat-e-Khalsa at 8.40 am. His companions immediately rushed him to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. Dr. Kehal said that this unfortunate incident happened an hour after the completion of the marathon which is tragic.
SHO Gurpreet Singh said that the deceased Pranab Mahajan, police have initiated necessary proceedings in this regard.
It may be mentioned that Marathon was flagged off by Punjab minister Harjot Singh Bains and noted runner Fauja Singh.
