A famous Punjabi saying’ Sadda Kutta Kutta, thuhada kutta Tommy’ proves fit in case related to dog’s fight, that took place between the dogs of mayor Patiala and a dog of deputy superintendent of police (DSP), presently attached with government railway police (GRP), posted in Patiala. The dog fight, took an ugly turn when the DSP  trashed the security guard of mayor’s official residence and in return got FIR and now marching orders from Patiala to Pathankot .

As per the information and according to the FIR, the complainant alleged Mayor’s three dogs attacked a DSP’s pet. Following this, the DSP rushed to the Mayor’s residence in an alleged inebriated state and thrashed the security guard of the mayor’s official residence.

The police have booked a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hardeep Singh for allegedly thrashing a security guard at the official residence of the Patiala Mayor.

Hardeep Singh, DSP, posted with the General Railway Police (GRP), has been booked under Sections 452 (trespass after preparation for hurt), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. The incident took place on Tuesday night but was reported on Wednesday morning.

Mayor Patiala Sanjeev Sharma later claimed that he was not present when the incident took place, in the night, but strict action should be taken against the suspect. He said: “Punjab Police should take strict action against him as he is a threat to society.”

Taking immediate action on the complaint, Patiala SSP Vikramjeet Singh Duggal wrote a letter to the GRP authorities for further action.

The GRP authorities yesterday evening transferred the erring DSP to Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB), Pathankot.
