Science Villa 2017 at Rayat-Bahra Patiala big hit

The Rayat-Bahra Group, Patiala Campus organized a State-level competition “Science-Villa-2017” at its premises here today. Competitions and exhibitions based on science subjects provided a fantastic opportunity to students and to demonstrate their abilities and could and also helped them to improve their presentation skills.

Various activities like Working Model Projects, Science Quiz, General Quiz,  JEE Mock Test, Spell Bees, Genius Award (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math) , Mera School Meri Shaan, Essay Writing, Ad Mad Show,  JET Mock Test, LAN Gaming, Collage Making, Poster Making, Comedy Show, Best out of Waste, Extempore, Business Ideas were the parts of Science-Villa.

Campus Director Dr Piush Verma  said that More than 3200 students from 110 schools of Patiala, Sangrur, Nabha ,Bhawanigarh, Patran, Samana, Bhikhi, Cheema, Moonak, Samana, Sunam,  Malerkotla, Dhuri, Ahmadgarh, Galwati, Barnala, Sirhind, Rajpura, Devigarh, Sanaur and nearby villages participated in different competitions. 

Rajinder Singh MLA Samana, who was the chief guest, visited the participating teams and lauded their method and manner of explaining the working models and other events. He said the primary objective of this event was to provide the students a platform to spread awareness about importance of science and technology. This event helped the students instill positive attitude and confidence in them.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions (RBGI), Prof KK Uppal and Dr Sandeep Kaura, JMD (RBGI), congratulated the winning teams, their teachers and appreciated the talent of the students.

Working Model Competition consisted of 105 plus models of various kinds of science fields. The Chief Guest gave away cash prizes, merit certificates and momentos to the winners in different activities. JMD RBGI, KK Uppal & Sandeep Kaura were also present.

Dr Piush Verma also interacted with students individually and said that young minds are our future intellectuals and surely they will do wonders in the times to come.

Coordinators of this event Er Chandershekhar, Er Amrinder Waraich, Shrikant Sharma, Director (Admin), were also present at the prize distribution function.
